Since the establishment of the Saudi Society for Health Information Management in 1441 AH, it has been carrying out community service in the health field in order to achieve its ultimate goal, which is to contribute to achieving comprehensive and sustainable development in our beloved kingdom.
The association’s march has gone through several developmental stages that were full of giving and achievement in its various activities in pursuit of its goals in the field of health information and informatics management.
In line with its objectives, the association has made great efforts in everything that would serve the health system and promote a strategic health transformation according to its capabilities, so it adopted a number of activities, most notably hosting the International Congress of Health Information Management Societies and the association’s membership in the International Federation of Health Information Management Societies. The association also looks forward to supporting scientific research, spreading awareness about health information and informatics among citizens, and encouraging the writing and translation of books and health studies in order to provide health information and accurate scientific analysis on all aspects of health in the Kingdom, and to create a reference and a research base concerned with scientific research and advancing it, developing the workforce and providing Scholarships for distinguished students.
The association, in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030 and the state’s directions seeking to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development confirms its commitment and continuing to make more efforts to serve the health system by strengthening interaction between the public and private sectors, supporting communication between those concerned with health affairs, following up on local and international changes and developments and dealing with them professionally. ; In order to create an appropriate healthy environment, which will have the greatest impact on promoting health, in light of the wise directives and continuous support from the shrine of my Lord, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and his trustworthy Crown Prince
